Rural architecture & more

One of the main attractions of Chamois is the architecture of the village, which has remained intact and where the “rascards” – the typical Alpine dwellings of the Aosta Valley – can be seen at every corner, with their base in stone and the upper part in wood. You will see them along the streets of the village, some of them “as they once were” with the stable and barn, others beautifully restored and converted into Bed and Breakfasts. There are also examples of avant-garde buildings with sustainable energy solutions. All together these make Chamois a stimulating open-air architecture workshop.
