Chamois is not accessible by car, but only with the cable car that starts from Buisson, a fraction of Antey St.André (Aosta).

BUS
From Milan, Turin and Aosta, buses run on many days to Valtournenche. The stops are next to the Buisson-Chamois cable car.

SHUTTLE FROM MILANO MALPENSA AIRPORT
ON FOOT
From Buisson, along the ancient mule-track accessing Chamois (about 700m elevation gain/drop, 93 hairpin bends, takes about 2 hours to cover); from the village of Veuillen at La Magdeleine with an easy 1 hour walk along a flat road; from Cheneil with scenic views in about 1½ hours; from the village of Crétaz in Valtournenche along the hiking trail, climb time about 2 hours.
BY BICYCLE
Access from La Magdeleine: an easy ride also by mountain bike.
PRIVATE VEHICLES
Exit at the Châtillon tollgate (A5 motorway), following the directions for Valtournenche/Breuil-Cervinia. On reaching Antey-Saint-André, in the village of Buisson you can leave your car in the park of the cable car going to Chamois.

Chamois has a high-altitude airport (altiport) built in 1967, the first in Italy. The altiport is the most popular mountain airfield in Aosta Valley, in both summer and winter, owing to its ideal position for practicability.
The airfield is run by Società Glaciair. Before landing, contact the manager Luca FINI +39 347 2610180.
Apart from small planes, the site is also open for hang-gliding and paragliding.
Please keep the runway free and not have picnics there.
