Sampling the food

Aosta Valley cuisine is robust and generous, as is the soul of the people who grew up in the Alps, toughened by the cold and the snow! A generous dish of polenta, accompanied by the essential Fontina cheese and an abundant portion of civet (game stew), will really make your stay in Chamois a must. The restaurants in the village and at Lake Lod are able to offer you some of the most delicious valley delicacies. It is strongly recommended that, after your meal, with your friends you drink the typical Aosta Valley coffee served in the traditional friendship cup.
